Travel Time again - USA here I come!

Early start from home up to Manchester, fly to Heathrow then on to Denver.

Arrived in Denver just in time, big storm hit the area! The 4 1/2 hr drive to Steamboat was 'interesting' to say the least...... Blizzard, ice and a long, long drive!

Back home, but not for long......!

Just arrived back home after 5 great weeks in the Alps! What a fantastic start to the ski season, amazing conditions with so much powder!!!

4 days to sort out all my washing, get a hair cut, rest my trashed legs, then it's off to the States on Thursday..........!

Hm........ It's still dumping snow!  Think even the big boy skis may struggle with this?  Spent the last hour listening to the guys blasting the shit out of the mountain, doesn't sound like it's going to be the best up there today......

St Anton - Day 1

Day 1 in St Anton - Dumping snow, high winds and not much viz! Our guide informs us we are having an easy start - 10 mins in we are smashing it in the off piste!!!

Travel time again - St Anton!!!

Another epic journey, this time to St Anton! Half way there the train driver informs us we need to leave the train and catch a bus due to the risk of avalanches on the tracks!!!

5 1/2 hrs later I'm here!!!

Fantastic Day at the Men's downhill!

Didier Cuche stormed through stormy conditions to win his unprecedented fifth downhill on the Hahnenkamm just two days after announcing his retirement from ski racing at the end of the 2012 season. Cuche has now surpassed the great Austrian racer Franz Klammer with the most downhill wins at Kitzbuhel.
